DUPLICATE: Uielement's inactive until drag on Spi-v surface

I've noticed while working on a custom tour with v1.4 that the standard toolbar buttons are not clickable and their hover events and actions do not fire. The only way to resolve the problem is to force focus back into Spi-v by dragging on the pano surface. Has anyone noticed this happening or is this just a problem with my machine (WinXP SP2 via IE && FF)

Steps to repro

  1. Load the Hirshhorn demo (http://fieldofview.com/spv/show.php?file=hirshhorn.xml)
  2. Press the refresh button in the browser and keep the mouse over that button until the tour has completely loaded.
  3. Once loaded move the cursor over the "Show Map" element - note the state of the cursor (should be a hand but remains the standard pointer)
  4. Click once inside Spi-v (do not drag) to force focus into the control and repeat Step 3.

Expected result
On either the first or second attempt of hovering over "Show Map" I'd expect the cursor to change to a hand, the color should change to red and that ultimately clicking the element should show the mini-map.

Actual result
Elements remain inactive and do not receive mouse input. At this point the only way to get mouse input into Spi-v is to drag on the surface of the Panorama causing it to adjust tilt or pan. After this occurs everything is back to normal.

Last Second Update
I double checked the issue with IE and noticed when automatic activation scripts are used, IE behaves correctly but if IE loads with the "Press SPACEBAR or ENTER to activate" banner it behaves as described above... or so it seems.

Hopefully the long message and repro helps and isn't too annoying.

Thanks,

John

Thanks for your dilligent reporting! This sort of reporting is very useful.

Unfortunately, this is a known issue caused by Shockwave, and not something that I can work around in SPi-V. Adobe is aware of the issue.
