Hello,
i have make a test on my local machine, and i have somes error about loading files not xml, but all images.
if i test on my webserver, it's ok, but i have a strange message about security permissions ( shockwave message ? ) at the first run test.

About your test on your local machine. I assume you are using SPi-V in the browser. Are you loading an image, or an XML file (which references the image)? Does the HTML in the archive work? Windows or OS X?
And could you tell me about the security permissions dialog you are getting? What does it say/look like?

Thanks for the mail with the example of the security dialog. That's a Shockwave dialog.
Due to what must be a bug (hey, it's beta!), this dialog may appear when there are more than 4 files downloading at the same time. I'll work on fixing this.

I have make this test using my browser "safari" on my mac.
i have a macbook pro (intel)
my safari run into "rosetta mode"

I have more or less the same problem here on a mac (PPC, OSX 10.4.9, SPi-V 1.4b2) where the files are not found by the engine:
I put my html file inside the dswmedia folder (for testing purposes), which is not possible with the beta.
The engine apparently searches the files, referenced by the xml, wrongly. eg. I put my pano (/-files) in a subfolder named common. So I reference to that file with "common/pano.jpg" right? Wrong! What does work, strangely, I leave it referenced like this and move the pano.jpg into the dswmedia (base) folder...
(yes you read correctly, is seems to ignore the path to the file, and looks is if it is located in the same folder)
EDIT:
It looks like the same problem as with SPi-V 1.3.10?

This problem is still under investigation, and not fixed in SPi-V 1.4 beta 3
