The 1.3 release was delayed because there seemed to be compatibility issues with the latest release of the Mozilla Firefox browser (version 1.5).
After trying to reproduce the issues, I found out that the issue is with the combination of Shockwave and Firefox 1.5, or probably with Firefox 1.5 and plugins in general. Depending on the system locale settings, SPi-V may behave strangely in Firefox 1.5, but not in other systems. This is likely to be a Firefox bug, but since Firefox 1.5 has seems to have numerous issues with plugins, I have good hopes this issue will be fixed soon.
SPi-V 1.3 release
Even though this is a major issue for SPi-V, I have decided to go ahead and publish 1.3. At first it seemed that the issue was specific for the SPi-V 1.3 rc's and beta's, but it turns out the Firefox 1.5 bug is prevalent throughout all versions of SPi-V, including the legacy demos on the gallery page, and indeed a lot of other Shockwave content available on the web.
Let's just hope this gets fixed soon.

SPi-V 1.3.1 and newer work around the issue introduced by Firefox 1.5. Legacy content is still 'broken' in Firefox 1.5

The issue was fixed in Shockwave 10.1.1 some time ago.
